SUMMARY:10th Annual Community Firefly Hike
DESCRIPTION:Experience the magic of fireflies on a hot summer night at Indian Lake County Park. We’ll learn what makes fireflies light up and enjoy cooking marshmallows over a fire. There will also be exhibits about the insects and animals at the park and kids can make a craft. Then we’ll take a short walk to see the fireflies and catch a few so you can see them up close. We will have bug spray. Bring your own jar with a lid with holes if you have one. \nRegistration \n

SUMMARY:Whippoorwill Hike at Ferry Bluff State Natural Area in Sauk County
DESCRIPTION:This event attracts 15 people from Dane County. Kids and families learn about learn about the beautiful whippoorwill and listen for its evening song. We’ll also enjoy a light snack on the bluff. This event is perfect for children ages 10 and up. You must be able to hike up a hill one-quarter mile in length with some steep steps.
